Please open your heart to sweet, huggable Payton! This little man really needs a friend. He's eager to please, loves to sit in your lap, and is quick to give tender puppy kisses.
He also loves children and is very good with little ones. (Most pit bulls are terrific with kids-in England they're known as "The Nanny Dog" --but some of them absolutely light up around children. Yes, Payton is a Nanny Dog!)
Born in September, 2006, he was quickly adopted out as a puppy. Unfortunately, now his owner is unable to keep him. Because of life changes, Payton has been living most of his days in a lonely crate, unable to play or socialize with others--a tough situation for a young dog.
His owner has come to the conclusion that he is not giving Payton the quality of life he deserves. Because he has agreed to relinquish ownership to us, we are now able to actively find Payton his forever home.
But we need to move quickly; our goal is to find Payton a foster home or forever home before having to move him into a kennel. You see, Payton is a gentle, sensitive soul and needs a quiet, loving environment—not a noisy, overwhelming kennel.
Payton is a very affectionate, well-behaved boy. He walks great on a leash, loves car rides and is a pro swimmer! If you’re looking for a walking, swimming, or snuggling partner--or can offer a loving foster home--please complete an application.
