Maggie's Happy Tail
By MAGGIE's mom, Margaret...
Maggie has made each day so wonderful. She is the light of my life. She is a total character and has a variety of tricks she likes to pull.
Lately, if we leave the car door open for just a second, she will hop into the back and sit there like Miss Daisy. The other day, Mike was detailing his truck and she sat back there for over two hours! The only way to get her out once she's planted is to take her around the block.
Most of our neighbors are seniors and they love to visit Maggie…she is never without company. Her favorite thing is to be bundled up in one of her many blankets.
She has her own bed that she used to sleep on, but she's taken it upon herself to claim our bed as her own. She waits next to the bed until I'm in and then jumps up and curls into a ball against my stomach. She then goes "Scuba Steve" and basically submerges herself completely. Basically, she's a breathing blanket lump. We may have to invest in a king size bed. Maggie is a solid 68 lbs.-and she kicks, snores, and laughs in her sleep.
I could go on, but I thought you'd like a reminder of why you work so hard at what you do. I have been given a great gift and couldn't imagine life without Maggie.
She is a pit bull good will ambassador. I love people's reactions when the say, "She's really a PIT BULL?" My mom used to be afraid of her…now she says, "Maggie, Grandma's here!" Congratulations on a job well done.
